No Minivan For Me...
Minivans are not for me. I'm just not ready to embrace the other social stigmas that come with driving that type of car. I literally have nightmares of becoming the extreme parent whose highlight of the day is putting on her favorite pair of "mom" jeans.
But, with a baby on the way, we needed a car with more space. Our two Honda Civics (one of which being a two door) was no longer practical. So, we decided to start our search for the perfect family car, and the perfect deal.
We had always liked the Ford Escape SUVs, so that's where our search began. After months of bidding on eBay, Ryan was able to find two Escapes worth checking out, one in Vista (just outside of San Diego) and one in La Habra (just outside of Los Angeles).
An official Ford dealership was selling the car in Vista. We decided to check it out, but we were quickly turned off by the dealership's inability to price match the exact same car we found in La Habra. Plus, their offer for our Honda Civic trade-in was absolutely pathetic. And so, we walked...
The next day, we drove to La Habra in hopes of finding our perfect car. As it turns out, we got much more than we bargained for...
