Bed and Breakfast Adventure

Gift certificates are great... but only when you use them. We typically forget we have them and they either expire or we find ourselves pleading with management to extend the expiration date.

Last Christmas, our neighbors Len and Lynn gave us this great gift certificate for a bed and breakfast in Temecula, California called The Castle. This was really special because Ryan and I got married in a former monestary which looked like a castle. In fact, our wedding had a (tasteful) medieval theme to it. So, naturally, we chose to stay in the medieval room when we booked our reservation.

This was our first experience staying at a bed and breakfast, and we made the most of it. Well, we may have been pretty tame compared to previous guests who stayed in our room. Rumor has it, an "older" couple tried to get pretty freaky with the whips and chains on the wall... and the police had to called because they actually got stuck somehow in the contraptions.

Um... yeah. Our adventure was so G-rated we could have stayed in Cinderella's castle.
